    • Thank you very much, Alina. The poll idea came spontaneously. So did the answers. I know several examples for each answer. Perhaps some would never admit that they always want to return to the place they have been travelling to for ages… 😉

  1. I think probably New York, especially if money is no object! The fact of the matter is, coming from the UK it’s an expensive destination for what is usually a short break. So, yeah, definitely New York if there was nothing stopping me!

    • If you had the opportunity to visil NY – how much time would you like to spend there? Which is the season of your choice? I assume you would love to trail some filming locations as well. 😉

      • I would like to go for longer than the usual four day trip I think. Just to take everything in. The usual tourist attractions, definitely some film related stuff. Obviously I think Winter would be THE time really!

      • Sounds like at least a fortnight in winter, christmas and new year. A little chilly perhaps, you and your family might really love that. So much to discover. 🙂

      • Not yet. My daughter was there with a friend. They ststed unanimoulys: “Awesome!”
I can recommend Boston (and Salem). Been there, loved it. Despite ‘Triton’. 😉

  2. Karen, it’s weird that nobody has voted for relaxing when most people probably goes on those kinds of vacations (hawaii, Florida, camping, etc.)

    • Luanne, all the guys who always tell me that they go camping have so much to do (packing, unpacking, rearranging, cooking, cleaning, etc.) – I wouldn’t seriously call that relaxing. 😀
I anticipated more votes for relaxing, though.

    • Paris is huge. I liked the boat trip on the Seine and the Bois de Bologne best. Versailles is impressive, so are the museums. You will like Les Champs Elysées as well. If you want to meet the Parisians you had better not travel in August. 😉
You might like Strasbourg. I prefer it as it is not that huge.

  3. I love this poll! Considering I’m looking forward to summer and the destination is yet unknown, I’m hoping to find something that will be perfectly simple for the family. My ideal situation is to go somewhere different with some learning to boot. But we’ll see what summer holds!

    • Thank you, Jack! The inspiration for this poll hit me yesterday evening. Spring time, Easter is over. Summer is due… I like new places. Despite that I also like to revisit my favourite places. Learning and meeting people (fellow authors and bloggers) is always nice. We’ll see what summer has in store for us!

  4. I am awarding you the Sunshine Award. There are also 6 awards I’m offering to all my readers, which you can take any or all of those. If you don’t accept awards, sorry about that, it’s just my way of saying thank you for coming by. For more details, please view this post http://wp.me/p41c99-MI Take care, Sage

    • Thank you very much for honouring my blog, Sage! In case that I already have an award, I will add you as my nominator (including the date and the link to your blog). Otherwise, there will be a respective blog post, soon. Take care, Karen
