Shopping takes its toll…
Sean and Sara have had just about enough shopping when screams fill the mall. A man has fallen—or was he pushed—to his death from the second level.
His widow is a childhood friend of Sara’s and she’s adamant her husband would never jump. With mall security dropping the ball and no seeming motive for murder, Sean and Sara are about to give up when one clue gets them that much closer. It may just be enough to wrap up everything in time for the holidays.
6th in the McKinley Mysteries
Approximately 33,000 words
Release date: 2014-10-30
Horrific screams reached into the store, drowning out the holiday merriment spreading over the speakers.
Sara raced out of the store, knowing from her days as a cop they could only mean one thing – someone was dead.
The sixth book of the McKinley Mysteries series starts with a Xmas shopping spree – its protagonists, Sara and Sean McKinley are in a mall when they hear screaming. I will not tell you more about the story than shown in the Amazon plot description. This would spoil the fun of reading this book yourself.
With Shopping is Murder, Carolyn Arnold has created the sixth instalment of the McKinley Mysteries series. Like its predecessors, this is a very enjoyable read. Sara and Sean did not really want to ‘take over’ a new case, especially if a former friend of Sara’s is involved. Suddenly they find themselves in the middle of their next mystery, aided by their friend Jim. Shopping is Murder is entertaining with a thrill, a fast read, most probably making you yearn for reading the next instalment.
This book is part of a series to read again.
