    • There are so many fine quotes – it is hard to pick a favourite. Wow, walking down a street, nearly running into the Dalai Lama – that’s special. 🙂

My favorite quote of the Dalai Lama is when I saw him in person, in a news conference here in Syracuse for a peace concert, and I asked him what he thought about the music of the bands playing at the show, and he stuck his fingers in his ears and shook his head as ferociouly as he could, Karen! That said it all! But then he said he told the musicians that they must use their platform of celebrity to spread the word of how all people must get along.
