Plot
(by Goodreads)

The complete serial novel in a single volume (Books 1-3).

Danna are a species of humanoid aliens who share the Milky Way with humanity. Unlike humans, they have been around for at least three billion years and are the oldest species in the Galaxy. Born with an alien artifact in their blood, they possess abilities surpassing anything any living creature can dream of. However, both their superb space technology and their unusual blood legacy have attracted danger no one expected. Abandoning their home Galaxy, the remaining population sets out in secrecy to their last resort, Kan Diona, the place to witness their victory or to become their grave.

When a seemingly simple rescue mission turns into a nightmare, Falaha, an ambitious Danna Commander Trainee with a power she can’t use properly yet, has her skills put to the ultimate test as her world begins to collapse, throwing her to the center of the conflict that might wipe out her entire race.

Family secrets slowly surface, hidden feelings are revealed, and new ones emerge. Ambitions and desires are fueled with every passing day, which could be her last. Answers bring more questions, solutions more problems, and life goes on, even if time is not her ally.

Will the enemy kill Falaha and her crew before they can find a way to save their people?

FALAHA’S JOURNEY is a vivid tale of alien species, races, and cultures, a family saga spanning multiple generations and extending across the Universe, a tale of identity, exploration, and self-discovery amidst a devastating struggle for survival, and a love story that touches the stars.

The Emergency Codex states that all distress calls must be ignored on the way to Kan Diona; stealth mode is mandatory. The day I discovered this fact was the day we received a distress signal.

My Opinion

Falaha’s Journey introduces you to Falaha and her spouse to be, Eyuran. They are of the Danna race, a kind of humanoid aliens.

With Falaha’s Journey, Jeno Marz has created an epic science fiction story, combining the first three instalments of the series. Falaha’s Journey is the story of a rescue mission gone wrong, a female with ambitions, growing up and detecting her emotions. Most of the time, the books have a steady flow; some passages being on the slower side. The latter are also needed – to comprehend some complex situations. I was drawn into the story, trying to hide in safe places. Falaha’s Journey is a good read for hardcore science fiction fans, who like complex stories and characters and appreciate a good fight.

This is a huge and vastly exciting read.

In brief:

Writing Good
Plot Full of surprises
Mood Suspenseful, dark
Pace Steady, slow
Characters Complex, developed
Violence Some violence
Sexual content No sexual content
POV First person

About the author

I’m a writer from Latvia, Northern Europe, with background in electronics engineering and computer science. All my fiction is aimed at an adult audience. English is my third language.

If you decide to pick my books for a read, you should start with Falaha’s Journey: A Spacegirl’s Account in Three Movements (Books 1-3, also known as Falaha’s Journey Trilogy).

Falaha’s Jorney Into Pleasure (Falaha’s Journey Book 3.5) is an expansion set for that story, not a stand-alone serial novel. Set years after the main story and while still true to exploring science fiction aspects of the world (OS Universe) introduced in the Trilogy, its focus is adult relationships and character study. So before you pick up 3.5, be sure you are comfortable with graphic sex scenes and strong language.

Currently I’m working on another novel in the OS Universe setting.

My question for you cinephiles:
If Falaha’s Journey was filmed – who should direct it, who could you imagine as actors?

  1. I am not so interested in science fiction but respect your well-rounded reviews, Karen. I do put books on paper request forms for our local library. I am up in Cleveland, Ohio and just had a busy morning at huge Volunteers of America where last Tues. of the month everything is 50% off. Mom is happy because she got a porcelain flapper doll with auburn hair. She also bought a few clothing items. I buy jeans for my job at the warehouse. I bought a beaded purse for my artistic adult daughter. She dresses up her mannequins. Take it easy. 🙂

    • Thank you very much for reading my reviews even if they do not always cover your favourite genres.
I am glad that your shopping spree was successful. It can be quite difficult to find something nice for all. 🙂
