Remember your dreams and fight for them. You must know what you want from life. There is just one thing that makes your dream become impossible: the fear of failure.

I can control my destiny, but not my fate. Destiny means there are opportunities to turn right or left, but fate is a one-way street. I believe we all have the choice as to whether we fulfil our destiny, but our fate is sealed.

Culture makes people understand each other better. And if they understand each other better in their soul, it is easier to overcome the economic and political barriers. But first they have to understand that their neighbour is, in the end, just like them, with the same problems, the same questions.

  1. I’d choose the second one, Karen. I like to think we all have a destiny, that we can choose how we get to it, or not get to it at all. But I don’t like to think that fate is set in stone, unavoidable. This quote takes some thinking about!

  2. Loved reading the Alchemist, Paulo Coelho is great! If you forced me to choose it would be the first one, because fear does stop us all from going after our dreams. What if I fail? What will people think? etc. Thank you for you for sharing the quotes today Karen!!
