  1. Fascination is one of those words that means different things to different people. That’s what finding the right audience to market to is all about. The honor to fascinate someone through writing and the quality of being fascinating through reading equally important.

    • As you beautifully stated, fascination can have different facets. It can have a positive and a negative tendency at the same time. You might even have an audience that is fascinated by different parts of your writing (within the same work).

      • Crime and criminals are topics of endless fascination. But for different reasons. The workings of the mysterious mind? A sci-fi or fantasy setting can be fascinating for its intricacy. Either way, I’m always fascianted by reading and writing. πŸ™‚

  2. Fascination is a good word. Another motivator is fear or morbid curiosity, especially for thriller or horror genres, but maybe that’s all part of fascination?
