We were in the mood for a swing concert. Luckily, we still got tickets for the Blue Moon Orchestra‘s programme The Story of the Big Bands.
Sixteen musicians, three singers as well as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy doubles led the audience through the history of the big bands – from womb to tomb. We learned a lot about the history of the big bands, spending nearly three hours at the Karl-Diehl-Halle in Roethenbach – time well spent.
It is nice to listen to a CD, sure; it is far better to attend a live event. 🙂
