Song of the day: The Light in the Window (The Henry Girls)

Lyrics

Tell me was it you by the window darling
Won’t you tell me was it you?
& When we saw the light that night
Oh tell me was it you?

Was a late September night when we went out walking
While you were laying there, they were saying prayers for you
Many years before we walked here together
And your gentle voice still lingers in my soul

Tell me was it you by the window darling
Won’t you tell me was it you?
& When we saw the light that night
Oh tell me was it you?

Wish I had the chance to tell you I love you
All the times that you were lost and on your own
And if I had the chance to tell you I love you
I’d remind you that you never were alone

Tell me was it you by the window darling
Won’t you tell me was it you?
& When we saw the light that night
Oh tell me was it you?

    • I am glad that you like their music as much as I do, Annika. I can recommend them all… ‘The Light in the Window’ is on the ‘Louder Than Words’ (2014) album. ‘December Moon’ (2011) comprises ‘Sweet Dreams’ and ‘Ol’ Cook Pot’. So many favourites. 🙂
