“Underneath my Soul” is a poetry book with a difference. It faces you with the raw ideas and thoughts of a writer transitioning through adolescence, young adulthood, and finally as an adult. In which the world is discovered in a completely different light. It has taken De Iuliis over 10 years to write, complete and publish. The elements
Rain clouds which gather up inside the sky,
Sand grains fall under the ground as I hold you in my arms,
We hear no sound, do you hear a sound?
The elements in our heart become one. […]
My Opinion
This book is a collection of poetry and personal growth.
With Underneath my Soul, Yolanda De Iuliis has created a thoughtful poetry collection – a journey of her soul. The poems spoke to me, time did not matter – there was no wish to hurry through. I had a great time ‘visiting’ Underneath my Soul; journeying to a different time and place.
This is for you if you like thoughtful poetry.

10 Statements – Yolanda De Iuliis
I do like poetry so will take a look at the writer’s blog, thank you for the review Karen. 🙂
Very interesting review, Karen of a more unusual book. I’m definitely intrigued and like the idea that it covers such an era of change in life.
It is also a very interesting read, Annika. The poem I partially cited as a teaser is one that talked to me. As poetry is not one of my usual genres, this was impressive.
