AGE APPROPRIATE FOR “TWEENS”/TEENS AND ADULTS, ANYONE WHO LOVES THE PARANORMAL AND CRIME INVESTIGATIVE THRILLERS!
This stand-alone novella in the Denny Ryder Paranormal Crime Series is the second of 12 novellas. Denise “Denny” Ryder became embroiled in a missing child case in STROKE OF FEAR! Her sixth sense led police to the seven-year-old boy and identified his alleged kidnapper, a psychopathic serial killer that feeds on the blood of innocent children. The astral projection Denny experienced brings her to her darkest hour as STROKE OF MIDNIGHT! begins, revealing the story Denny just couldn’t face initially.
Detective Ted Collins is now facing an identical M.O., involving a five-year-old little girl, Clarissa. He desperately needs Denny’s help, but Denny is struggling for her life as well. Ted senses the clock is ticking as he tries to save both young lives. A program dating back to WWII will aid Denny, perhaps, but what about Clarissa? This paranormal, crime investigative series is just starting to unfold.

Teaser
“I’m Doctor Gonzales from the ER. We have a specialist on the way to help your wife. Denise is a little more stable, but still considered critical. I’ll let you know more…” The frazzled doctor turned back to the ER window to acknowledge an urgent voice and someone handed him a file.
My Opinion
This book continues where the first ended. After Denny Ryder fainted at the recovery site, she fell into a coma.
With Stroke of Midnight!, Deborah A. Bowman continues her quite intriguing paranormal crime series. It is an unusual and compelling read, drawing you into Denny’s world. Deborah A. Bowman paints a clear picture of Denny’s mind while the story evolves. Denny is likeable, complex, and visibly suffering from what she has to experience during her visions. She suffers from her visions even now, comatose, after an ischemic stroke. The story begins with a flashback to provide the reader with a solid background; it has a steady pace, comprises interesting turns, and has a really good flow. I kept my fingers crossed, hoping that Denny in her state and Detective Ted Collins – who believes in her abilities – would rescue the little girl.
This is a book for you if you like fantasy and paranormal crime series in novella format, psychology, and if you like female characters with a mission.

I was so pleased to receive this review from Karen of Rosie’s Book Review Team. http://www.mytrainofthoughtson.wordpress.com. Please check out her blog. You’ll be glad you did! I am an avid follower.
Thank you very much for the praise, Deborah.
Karen, I am so humbled that you too can see the importance of these novellas in helping children not become victims. There are too many missing children that never come home!
Raising awareness should be high on top of everyone’s list, Deborah. You and your series will be a great support for the good cause – as more and more readers comprehend and spread the word.
Thank you for such a complete and complimentary review. You picked up on aspects of the full novella series in this stand-alone Book 2 in the Series. There are four novellas in the series. I appreciate you taking the time to read this novella. Stroke of Silence! Book 3 is my favorite in the series. amazon.com/B00JH78VOE. It answer the questions: “What happened to Clarissa?”
You are welcome, Deborah.
I did my utmost to avoid spoilers.
In the meantime, my review for book 3 is published; review for book 4 upcoming.
Thanks for your phrasing that intrigues rather than taking away from the plot and climatic ending.
You are welcome, Deborah.
I’m planning on re-releasing the Denny Ryder Series in a Trilogy or perhaps all four novellas in one updated volume–a project for 2017 if and whenever there is time. That which I seem to have far too little of … lol.
This is good news, Deborah. Will you continue the series as planned? I know, this is all about time or – the lack of it. 😉
2017, early in the year. I’m working on Stroke of Passion right now.
Wonderful. I’m looking forward to reading Stroke of Passion.
Thanks!
