I don’t think anything’s more rewarding than hearing that you’ve helped someone gain a love of reading.

I’m inspired by almost everything I come across in life, and one way or another they find themselves sneaking into my stories.

Don’t ever let the other stuff get in the way of your inherent skills as a kick-butt storyteller. Move the reader, make them happy and sad and excited and scared. Make them stare into space after they’ve put the book down, thinking about the tale that’s become a part of them.
Which is your favourite quote by James Dashner? 🙂
wow – 3 different and powerful meanings…
Thank you, Mihran.
I have to go with all 3 Karen. 🙂
Three winners! Thank you very much, Debby. 🙂
🙂
Great quotes, Karen. 😊
Thank you, Ali. 🙂
Great quotes, Karen. The first is great as awakening a love of reading will last a lifetime. The third is wonderful too – I like books that become part of me 🙂
Thank you very much for your kind feedback, Diana. 🙂
It was exciting to find these Dashner quotes (nearly) in the wink of an eye.
They are all good this time. I think the third one resonated most with me.
Thank you, Craig. This hopefully is a major goal for every writer.
“I don’t think anything’s more rewarding than hearing that you’ve helped someone gain a love of reading.” I like this quote.
This is a real honour for every writer. John J. Cannon will certainly do that for you, John.
Thank you, Karen.
The third quote was my favourite, it’s perfect.
It is indeed perfect, Lorraine. This should be in every writer’s mind.
I agree, I love the last quote. That is the ultimate achievement from a writer’s perspective, and something brilliant to experience as a reader.
We seem to have a winner here, Suzanne.
Hi, the third one is excellent.
Great post! Have a nice weekend.😊
Hi Kimberly, thank you very much.

Absolutely. This is a great quote, Sandra.
Love them all but particularly the third one and it is quite a feeling when you finish a special book that leaves you staring into space, just thinking, pondering – a story that stays with you long after.
Thank you very much for your feedback, Annika. I love them all as well. The second one is similar to one of my 10 statements, regarding the third one – I couldn’t agree more.
