tIPoSWR cover is by Clarissa of Yocla Designs, and you’re going to love it.

Scarlet Wakebridge-Rosé, busy executive and less-than-stellar mother and wife, has a problem that only an exorcist can solve. Except she’s not precisely a devout Catholic parishioner any longer, and to gain assistance from the Church means telling a whopping lie of omission.

Fortunately, she discovers Father Angelo Ambrosio, whose commitment to helping the afflicted means he’s willing to overlook the things Scarlet prefers to keep hidden. Unfortunately, his sordid past keeps him under a microscope with the bishop, who’s not so liberal in his views.

But the demon harassing Scarlet is relentless. It makes its motives clear: in a previous life, she struck a bargain, promising it her body on her fiftieth birthday. Now, she and Angelo must unravel the mystery surrounding her forgotten past in order to stop the possession by next week or risk losing her to the depths of Hell forever.

This stand-alone novel set in the Fallen Redemption universe extends the series to modern day. Enter a world where humans reincarnate, demons interfere in daily life, and the currents of fate carry us all to our destinies.

Cover Reveal: Reaping Angel by S. L. Saboviec

Welcome, everyone, to the cover reveal for S. L. Saboviec’s Reaping Angel, Book #2 in the “Fallen Redemption” adult paranormal series.

The first book, Guarding Angel, was released in May 2014. Both covers were done by the super-fabulous Regina Wamba, of MaeIDesign.com, who’s done covers for Random House, Penguin Books, and multiple New York Times best-selling authors.

But a picture is worth a thousand words, so here’s the blurb and cover for Guarding Angel, Fallen Redemption #1:

Guardian angel Enael can’t seem to keep her human Wards in check. They’re the ones who choose their paths before reincarnating–she’s just there to help make sure they stay on track. But it’s not as easy as it might look.

When she meets and falls in love with charismatic Kaspen, a fellow Guardian, Enael’s feelings about Heaven, Hell, demons, and the life she’s known are turned upside down. Worse, angel-turned-demon Yasva, Kaspen’s former love, still holds him in her clutches. Even as Yasva works toward obtaining complete control of Earth, she taunts and haunts Kaspen’s and Enael’s lives.

Now Enael is forced to face her past (which is centuries long and bursting with secrets), her present (which is terribly unfulfilling and full of questions), and her future (which becomes more uncertain as time passes). Armed with a newfound love and fear of losing it all, she must figure out how to save the world–and the angel she loves. Which side will win? Who will Kaspen choose? Will Heaven and Earth continue to exist, or will everything go to Hell?

But you’re not here for the first book, you’re here for the second book. So without further ado, here it is:

After the battle at the Bastille, the Council of Seraphim offers reluctant demons Enael and Kaspen a chance to return to Heaven—but only after they’ve completed sufficient penance. Ready to move past the ugly chapter in their lives, they settle into their assignments.

Until Enael’s former lover, Voctic, a powerful demon, interferes.

Voctic seduces and demeans, taunts and entices Enael, stirring centuries-old longing in her while infuriating Kaspen. Caught up in the demands of their duties, Kaspen and Enael drift apart until she finds herself isolated.

Fed up with Voctic’s harassment, Enael prepares to fight back. When he targets the new human she’s responsible for protecting, she creates her own plan. His self-proclaimed “gala of the century” will be the perfect cover for her revenge. But will a hasty decision cost her Kaspen—or even her spot in Heaven?

Teaser

Despite my attempts to seem casual, when his eyes found mine, my breath caught and my skin prickled. His irises were white and surrounded by a black ring, the same as all Guardians, but his gaze was penetrating. I was pleased I kept my voice steady, when I said, “Peace to you,” greeting him with the traditional salutation angels use with one another.

My Opinion

This book introduces you to Enael, Guarding Angel for difficult Wards. She meets Kaspen, a fellow Guarding Angel she can’t get out of her head. Thanks to his former lover and her jealousy, her world is turned upside down.

With Guarding Angel, S. L. Saboviec has created an immensely thrilling fantasy story with local flair. The story comprises a broad variety of characters with sufficient depth, expertly woven situations and interesting interactions on Earth, in Heaven and in Hell. I had an exciting time reading Guarding Angel – it is a very compelling read. I was drawn into the story, far away enough from Enael to stay out of harm’s way. Enael is a very complex and stubborn character, one just has to admire how she evolves. This is for you if you like (stubborn and determined) female protagonists, angels and demons, increasing suspense and history.

A very suspenseful book to read again.

Recommended.

In brief:
