My rating:  ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

(by Goodreads)

Tia Blackburn is a bounty hunter looking for the next man wanted on her list.

When Tia finds herself getting closer to her target, she unexpectedly becomes a target herself and gets involved in a deadly game.

Now, with someone after her, Tia must dig deep within herself to unravel the clues to find the killer of Manhunt.

“Do you actually need this large of a truck or do you just drive it to make yourself intimidating?” I ask.

He grips the wheel tighter. “Are you always this annoying?”

“I’m a decent person when I’m sleeping.”

My Opinion

This book introduces you to Tia Blackburn, bounty hunter. As she has bills to pay, she has to find the man on her list quickly.

With Manhunt, Charlotte Raine has created an expertly woven thriller novella. It is a compelling read, drawing you rather close to Tia. Charlotte Raine carefully reveals more of Tia’s mind and past while the story evolves, still keeping some of the mystery. Tia is quite likeable, of sufficient depth, you learn what you need to know about the other characters – depending on their relevance. The story comprises some rough scenes, interesting turns, and has a really good flow. It is the first book in a series and – I am looking forward to reading the next one.

This is a book for you if you like fast paced stories, thrillers about serial killers, and if you like stubborn and strong female protagonists.

About the author

Charlotte Raine is the author of several romantic suspense books with more on the way. She worked in marketing and advertising for 15 years before focusing on her true passion, telling great stories. Charlotte gets inspiration for her writing from the scenic but serene mountains around her home in Vail, Colorado.

When she is not writing you will find her after a long day of skiing at one of the many lodges in Vail. She will most likely be next to a warm fire, drinking a glass of wine and telling stories.
