AGE APPROPRIATE FOR TEENS; INTRIGUING ENOUGH FOR ADULTS!
The MOST ACTION-PACKED Novella/Novel of the Denny Ryder Paranormal Crime Series! This book starts off with a bang amidst a man-hunt for Benjamin A. Russo, known psychopathic serial killer of small children. The SWAT Team; the FBI; Chief Detective Ted Collins of the Dayton, Ohio, Police; and Sheriff Colton Reamy of Evergreen, Colorado, are all in place. Denny, the reluctant visionary, is recovering from a STROKE OF FEAR! (B00CFWYAX4) in her début novella. In STROKE OF MIDNIGHT! (B00F8Z2KAK), Denny fights for her life. In this longer novella/novel STROKE OF SILENCE!, Denny experiences another physic dream/vision. Believed dead and dismembered by Russo, where is five-year-old Clarissa Alexander? Only Denny knows. But Denny sees another abducted child, eight-year-old Tommy Penington. Who will find and save the children? Of the four main characters in this serial Thriller (two adults and two children), not all will survive. And will Russo be brought to justice? There are plenty of surprises in store! “The Wounds of the soul can never heal…Denny cannot forget the stroke of twelve chimes…The person she’s become will forever reveal…Bittersweet tears of death in STROKE OF TIME! “

Teaser
Kari wasn’t going to tell this worried friend that she’d called the child’s name when Kari had been forced to take her off all life-support, per signed DNR order by Mr. Jonus Ryder, her husband. He hadn’t even waited for Denny’s sister to arrive.
My Opinion
This book finds serial killer Benny Russo in distress as a man-hunt is too close for comfort. Denny Ryder is still recovering, suffering from more visions.
With Stroke of Silence!, Deborah A. Bowman continues her quite intriguing paranormal crime series. It is an unusual and compelling read, drawing you into Denny’s world. Deborah A. Bowman paints a clear picture of Denny’s mind while the story evolves. Denny is likeable, complex, and visibly suffering from what she has to experience during her visions. The readers inevitably also gain deeper insights in Benny Russo’s mindset. The story has a steady pace, comprises interesting turns, and has a really good flow. I kept my fingers crossed for Clarissa and Tommy.
This is a book for you if you like fantasy and paranormal crime series in novella format, psychology, and if you like female characters with a mission.
Interesting quote from the author’s Afterword: “An odd Afterword and Bio, I’m sure, but I believe in the message of finding missing children and getting the criminals off the street. The drama and horror in the Denny Ryder Paranormal Crime Investigation Series is researched and real.”
