My personal motto:

Be kind (it’s free), be grateful (you have more than you know).”

10 statements
  1. A typical work day begins with… caffeine, preferably sipped while in bed, and if not, while in a housecoat.
  2. I lose track of time… when writing … or reading … or gardening – oh dear… seems I’m easily distracted.
  3. I have always… sought waves.
  4. I have never… successfully pull-started any gas engine.
  5. Home means to me… feeling welcome, and a warm embrace.
  6. I am inspired by… people who are physically and mentally challenged.
  7. I would like to meet… my maternal grandfather – I never knew him.
  8. My worst character trait… perfectionist.
  9. My best character trait… sense of humour.
  10. The best advice I was given… the value of a minute (from a wise manager many years ago).

  4. It probably isn’t easy to change the mind of a history buff. J. P. McLean is the first and so far only author who has drawn me totally into her fantasy world. I have read and loved every book of this series. It felt good to “live on a different plain” for a while and forget the pressing issues I had.

    • This appreciation of an author and her work is something every author dreams of, Giselle. I am glad that you feel that way about Jo-Anne and her series. We all need the opportunity to dive into stories for a while, then return, and ideally being more relaxed.

  7. I like it when Karen has a free flow interview which gives us more about the author!
Jo-Anne sounds like a great friend and author. I liked her motto as well as her answers to the open ended sentences. This was like sharing a delicious iced tea with someone famous, a real treat! Smiles, Robin

    • Thank you very much for your kind words, Robin. I am glad that you enjoy my ’10 Statements’ series.
Jo-Anne is amazing and I am very honoured that she made her appearance on my blog.
